Four Charged With Drug Offences

(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On May 25, 2016 at approximately 5:20 a.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a disabled vehicle with four occupants acting suspiciously on Grey Road 9 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands.

Police attended and the investigation resulted in the arrest of all four suspects after a quantity of drugs were located and seized from inside the 2008 Ford Mustang.

Anthony CHATZIMANOLAKIS, age 23, of Etobicoke, Ontario was charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):

– Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

– Possession of Schedule I Substance – Heroin

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

– Fail to Comply with Probation Order (Criminal Code)

Alyssa TWEEDY, age 25, of Bolton, Ontario (Driver) was charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):

– Possession of a Schedule I Substance – Cocaine

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana – under 30 grams

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

– Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

Stanley MAKA, age 19, of Etobicoke, Ontario was charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

– Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

Viren SARIN, age 19, of Mississauga, Ontario was charged with the following offences under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA):

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance – Marihuana – under 30 grams

– Possession of a Schedule II Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking – under 3 kg

– Possession of a Schedule III Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking

– Personation with Intent to Avoid Arrest, Prosecution or Obstruct Justice (Criminal Code)

– Fail to Comply with Recognizance (x2) (Criminal Code)

All four people were held for bail hearings scheduled on May 25, 2016.
