(BROCKVILLE, ON) – The Leeds County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is searching for the owner of a kayak which was found adrift on the St Lawrence River in Elizabethtown–Kitley Township on Tuesday July 14. Shortly after 3pm someone located the kayak about 6 kms west of Brockville near the Crossover Island. The kayak is described as blue and white 2 person kayak. It has a frayed rope attached to it, indicated it came loose and drifted away. Police have no reports of overdue persons on the water and do not believe anyone is missing related to the finding of the kayak.
