Former west Grey Man Arrested For Fail to Remain

On March 30th 2014 at approximately 11:50pm members of the Hanover police
Service were called to the 500 block of 11th Avenue for a fail to remain collision.

The investigation determined that a male suspect had consumed alcohol at a
residence and became involved in an argument with a family member. The
suspect left the residence and while reversing out of the private driveway struck
two vehicles belonging to another tenant from the building.

A short time later, members of the West Grey Police Service located the suspect
at a seasonal residence on Concession 18 of West Grey and arrested him for
failing to remain at the scene of an accident. The suspect was turned over to the
Hanover Police Service.

The suspect has been identified as a 31 year old man of no fixed address formerly
of West Grey. Further checks revealed that he is wanted by other police agencies
in British Columbia and Ontario.

As a result of the investigation, the Hanover Police Service has charged the 31
year old male suspect with one count of failing to remain at the scene of an
accident contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. No one was injured as a result
of the accident and damage is listed as moderate to the involved vehicles.
