(LEAMINGTON, ON) -Members of the Essex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) under the direction of Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) Detective Inspector Chris Gilpin and Detective Staff Sergeant Andy Raffay have arrested and charged three Leamington men with extortion following a lengthy investigation.
The investigation which began in June 2014 revealed that the accused were allegedly extorting money from temporary foreign workers employed in Leamington Ontario.
As a result of the investigation the following men have each been charged with 3 count(s) of Extortion contrary to the Criminal Code.
39-year-old Dudy SUPRIYADI from Leamington, On
33-year-old Aji SUROTO from Leamington, On
29-year-old Nehwin WANHAR from Kingsville, On
All three men are scheduled to appear for a bail hearing in Windsor Provincial Court on December 12, 2014 to answer to the charges.
