(COLLINGWOOD, ONTARIO) The Collingwood and The Blue Mountains Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Auxiliaries in conjunction with the Salvation Army held their annual Christmas food and toy drive in Collingwood last Saturday at the Wal-Mart store in Collingwood.
The auxiliary officers and Salvation Army accepted new unwrapped toys, cash donations and non perishable food items to support families in the Collingwood area. In total approximately 300 toys and approximately 400 lbs of food were collected during the drive.
A big thank you goes out to the Wal-Mart store in Collingwood for permitting us to utilize their property for this great cause. Thank you to all who donated and helped make local families’ holidays a bit more festive.
The dedication of the Collingwood/The Blue Mountains Auxiliary OPP unit to the Community is without equal. In addition to the Lock It or Lose It program
