(Municipality of Trent Lakes, ON) – On Monday, September 8 members of the Peterborough County OPP were called to a parking lot near Lakehurst Road regarding the discovery of firearms being located in the area.
Upon attended the Buckhorn Community Centre the officers located a bundle of firearms that proved to be the same ones stolen earlier from an address on Lakehurst Road.
All 13 of the firearms were located and secured. The OPP would like to thank the members of the public and the media for assisting in the locating and recovery of the firearms in a safely and timely fashion. The suspects in the theft have still not been identified and the investigation is ongoing.
