Firearms Stolen During Break In

(HALDIMAND COUNTY, ON.) – Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Haldimand County detachment is investigating a break and enter at a Highway (Hwy) #6, Jarvis, Haldimand County, ON address.

Sometime between the evening hours of Wednesday April 15th to the early morning hours of Thursday April 16th, 2015 unknown(s) attended the rural property and entered an insecure garage. Once inside the garage a firearms storage cabinet was entered and a Cooey .22 caliber rifle, a 16 gauge Cooey shotgun, a 12 gauge Hiawatha shotgun, a .177 caliber pellet gun and a quantity of ammunition were located and stolen.

The value of the theft is approximately $1600 dollars.

The property owner also turned over two bicycles that were located near his property and did not belong to him.

The found bicycles are described as a red Vegabond 10 and black & red speckle coloured Precision PR7021.

Police have not received any missing bicycle reports and are asking for area bicycle owners to check and see if their bicycles are still in their possession.
