(MUNICIPALITY OF GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On Wednesday, April 06, 2016, the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau – Drug Enforcement Unit, with the assistance of Grey County OPP and West Region Canine, executed a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act search warrant at a property on the 8th Concession B in the Municipality of Grey Highlands in Grey County.
As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized cocaine, cannabis marihuana plants, processed cannabis marihuana and cannabis resin. The estimated, combined value of the seized controlled substances was $297,000.00.
Police also seized offence related property that consisted of trafficking paraphernalia, cash, firearms, and ammunition.
A Grey Highlands male and female have been arrested and each charged with the following offences:
Possession of cocaine for the purposes of trafficking, possession of marihuana for the purposes of trafficking, production of marihuana, and possession of cannabis resin
They were both held in custody. A bail hearing is scheduled for April 8, 2016 in Owen Sound.
