Firearms Seized At Border – Numerous Charges Laid

(PETROLIA, ON) –On Friday June 12, 2015, Lambton County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a request to attend at the Canadian Border Services Agency (CBSA), Point Edward, ON regarding an on-going firearms investigation.

Lambton OPP Crime Unit in cooperation with Walpole Police Service and CBSA have arrested and charged a male party after a primary inspection by CBSA officers located firearms in the vehicle he was operating.

Randy Fabian NAHDEE, age 43, of Walpole Island was arrested and charged with:

· Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm (2 counts)

· Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm (2 counts)

· Importing a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition Knowing It Is Unauthorized (7 counts)

· Importing Components or Parts for Use in the Making of Automatic Firearms Knowing it is Unauthorized

· Unauthorized Importing of a Firearm, Prohibited or Restricted Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition (2 counts)

· Unauthorized Importing of Components or Parts for Use in Making of Automatic Firearms

· Transport Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner

· Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing There was Prohibited or Restricted Weapon (2 counts)

· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order (6 counts)

· Fail to Comply with Undertaking

· Fail to Comply with Probation Order

· Possession of Firearm or Ammunition contrary to Prohibition Order

· Transport Firearm, Weapon, Prohibited Device or Ammunition in a Careless Manner

The accused will appear in the Sarnia Ontario Court of Justice on Monday July 15, 2015 for a Bail Hearing.
