Firearm & Drugs Seizure

The London Police Service is charging four people after seizing a handgun, ammunition, drugs and cash.

On Wednesday, March 20, 2014, members of the Guns and Drugs Section, consisting of members of the London Police Service and RCMP, were assisted by the Emergency Response Unit with executing search warrants at two residences – one on Oliver Street, and another on Egerton Street.

As a result of the investigation, Dennis Dalbello (43 years) and Lynsay Griffiths (33 years), both of London, have been charged with the following Controlled Drugs and Substances Act offences:
– possession of a Schedule I substance, contrary to section 4(1); and
– possession of a Schedule II substance, contrary to section 4(1).

Dennis Dalbello has further been charged with breach of probation, contrary to section 733.1(1) of the Criminal Code of Canada.

Wayne Doran (55 years) of London and William Chatterley (45 years) of no fixed address have been charged with:
– two counts of possess Schedule I substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act;
– possess Schedule II substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act; and
– possess Schedule IV substance for the purpose of trafficking, contrary to section 5(2) of the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act.

Doran and Chatterley have also been charged with the following Criminal Code of Canada offences:
– possess loaded regulated firearm, contrary to section 95(1);
– two counts of careless storage of firearm/ammunition , contrary to section 86(1); and
– two counts of possess firearm/ammunition while prohibited, contrary to section 117.01(1).
