(KENORA, ON)-A thirteen year old Kenora boy is in Winnipeg Heath Science Centre with non-life threatening injuries following a fire on Drewry Drive in Kenora. Members of the Kenora OPP, Fire and Ambulance were called to a house fire on Wednesday, December 18 shortly after 8:00 pm. Two people were in the home when the fire broke out and both escaped the residence and were transported to Lake of the Woods District Hospital by Kenora Ambulance. The home received extensive damage and the family pet was lost in the blaze.
The Ontario Fire Marshalls Office has been called and is expected to be in Kenora on December 19 2013.
The investigation is continuing.
