(PEMBROKE, ON) – The Upper Ottawa Valley Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a 911 call on the 26th of January at approximately 1:10 am. Upon arrival, a residence was on fire on Mud Lake Road in Laurentian Valley Twp. During the investigation responders located a deceased person.
City of Pembroke, and Laurentian Valley Fire Departments as well as County of Renfrew Paramedic Services assisted at the scene. The OPP Forensic Identification Unit as well as the Ontario Fire Marshalls Office is on scene investigating. P/C Janice Harrison is the investigating officer.
The investigation is continuing.
