(BLANDFORD BLENHEIM TOWNSHIP, ON) – Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers along with Blandford Blenheim Fire Department members attended a house fire on March 19, 2015 in Blandford Blenheim Township. Shortly before 5:00 p.m. emergency crews attended the single dwelling residence located on Township Road 4 in close proximity to the 401 Highway.
The two adult male residents who discovered the fire in the kitchen, were able to escape the house and called for assistance. Both males were taken to an area hospital by Oxford County EMS for minor injuries, where they were treated and released. Drumbo, Princeton, Plattsville and Innerkip (East Zorra-Tavistock) fire stations all attended the scene to assist.
The fire remains under investigation but it is believed to be accidental in nature.
