(COLLINGWOOD, ON.) Members of the Collingwood and The Blue Mountains detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Crime Unit are currently investigating a fire which took place last week in the Town of Collingwood.
On the 4th of June 2015 at approximately 10:20pm, The Collingwood Fire Department and the Collingwood/The Blue Mountains OPP were dispatched to an unoccupied commercial structure fire at 255 Grey Road 21 in the Town of Collingwood. The fire caused extensive damage to the building however thankfully no one was hurt as a result of the blaze.
The fire was eventually extinguished and the scene was secured by OPP officers as a member of The Office of the Ontario Marshal (OFM) was dispatched to the scene to investigate as an immediate cause for the fire was not determined by firefighters on scene. Investigation is ongoing.
