On June 3, 2015 at 4:47pm Waterloo Regional Police responded with Cambridge Fire to a fire at a townhouse complex on Clyde Rd. The fire originated on the stovetop and spread to the ceiling. Firefighters were able to extinguish the fire before it was able to spread to neighboring units. Two male occupants suffered minor smoke inhalation and were treated at the scene by paramedics. The exact amount of damage is unknown but there was extensive damage to the attic. The fire is believed to be accidental and no persons were injured.
