(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), Norfolk County Detachment is currently investigating a break and enter at a Highway #3 East, Simcoe, Norfolk County, ON address.
Sometime during the evening hours of the 25th of August 2013 and the early morning hours of the 26th of August 2013 unknown suspects attended the address and damaged sections of fencing to gain entry to the property. Unknown suspects then located and released a large quantity of mink and fox into the wild. Most of the animals have been recovered however there are still some at large. These animals do not pose a risk to the public.
The Ministry of Natural Resources (MNR) is assisting in the location and safe return of these animals.
Police are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying those responsible. If anyone has any information or can assist in identifying the suspects, you are being asked to contact the Norfolk County OPP Detachment at 1-888-310-1122.
