(HUNTSVILLE, ON) On Wednesday February 8, 2017 just after 7:00pm Huntsville Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) along with Muskoka EMS and Huntsville Fire attended a motor vehicle collision on West Browns Road in Huntsville.
A snowmobile and a Subaru were involved in a head on crash on West Browns Road near Timber Bay Road, causing the Subaru to catch fire.
The operator of the snowmobile, a 60 year-old male from Huntsville succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 53 year-old female from Huntsville, driver of the Subaru was transported to a local area hospital with non-life threatening injuries and has since been released.
The driver of the snowmobile has been identified as Michael DECKER a 60 year-old male from Huntsville, ON.
Investigation into the cause of the crash is continuing.
