(WASAGA BEACH, ON.) – On July 26th, 2015 at approximately 10:15, members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a serious motor vehicle collision on River Road East, east of Huron Street in the Town of Wasaga Beach.
An initial Police investigation revealed that a westbound motor cycle while navigating a curve in the road veered into the eastbound lane for a yet to be determined reason and struck a pickup truck.
The operator of the above motorcycle a 27 year old male from George Town Ontario is deceased.
The identity of this male is being withheld by Police pending notification of next of kin.
The investigation into this fatal motor vehicle collision is ongoing with the assistance of our Central Region OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
Huronia West OPP still has a section of River Road East from Zoo Park Road to John Street closed to aid in this investigation.
