(Bracebridge, ON) – Members of the Bracebridge Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single vehicle motorcycle collision on Highway 118 east of Bracebridge on Sunday May 3rd, 2015 just before 3:30 p.m.
The operator of the motorcycle had been driving eastbound on Highway 118 approximately 20 kilometres east of Highway 11 where he lost control negotiating a curve and collided with a rock cut. Forty-seven year-old Craig Anderson of Scarborough, was pronounced dead on scene.
Police would like to remind operators of all types of vehicles to be cognizant of the hazards present on highways at this time of year such as the presence of sand, gravel or other types of debris on the roadway in addition to the possibility of encountering wild life.
