Fatal Motorcycle Collision

(CRAMAHE TWP, ON) –On April 16, 2016 at 7:15pm the Northumberland detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a single motor vehicle collision on County Road 2 near Townline Road in Cramahe Township.

The motorcyclist was traveling eastbound when he lost control of his bike and left the roadway striking a telephone pole. Emergency Medical Services (EMS) attended the scene and transported the driver to an area hospital where he later succumbed to his injuries.

The deceased has been identified as Roy WINDOVER age 71 of Brighton, Ontario.

The road remained closed for approximately five hours while OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) assisted detachment officers at the scene. The cause of the collision remains under investigation.
