(HALIBURTON, ON) On Sunday September 08, 2013 at approximately 6:15 am Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Officers from the Haliburton Highlands Detachment were dispatched to a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 118 east of Carnarvon in the Township of Algonquin Highlands. A westbound motor vehicle left the roadway, entered a ditch and rolled. The male driver of the motor vehicle who was the lone occupant was pronounced dead at the scene. OPP collision investigators is conducting the investigation and Highway 118 is currently closed from St. Peters road to East road until approximately 11:00 am. The name of the deceased is being withheld pending notification.
