(CLEARVIEW TOWNSHIP, ON.) – On January 10th, 2015 at approximately 5:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving 2 motor vehicles on Hwy #26 near 30/31 Side Road Nottawasaga.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that a grey Chevrolet Cavalier operated by a 57 year male from Collingwood was northbound on Hwy #26 when for a yet to be determined reason it veered into the southbound lane striking a southbound black Ford F150 pickup operated by a 29 year old male from New Tecumseth.
All 4 occupants in the Ford F150 were transported to Hospital with serious injuries. In addition a 34 year old female from Ottawa who was a rear passenger in the Ford F150 was later airlifted to a Toronto area Hospital.
Deceased is Edouard BAKISSA 57 years old from Collingwood.
A post mortem is schedule for Monday, January 12th, 2014.
