(SPRINGWATER TOWNSHIP, ON.) On Sunday, January 18th, 2015 at approximately 8:30 p.m., members of the Huronia West Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police, Springwater Fire Department and Simcoe County Paramedics responded to a motor vehicle collision (MVC) involving 2 motor vehicle on County Road #91 between Pinegrove Road and 9th Line.
An initial OPP investigation revealed that a grey Ford van operated by a 45 year old female from Barrie was eastbound on County Road #90 when for a yet to be determined reason it spin into the westbound lane and was strict by a white Toyota SUV operated by a 43 year old female from the Town of the Blue Mountains.
The operator of the Ford van a 45 year old female from Barrie was pronounced deceased at the scene of the collision.
The operator and passenger in the Toyota SUV were not injured in this collision.
The investigation into this fatal MVC is ongoing with the assistance of our Central Region Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Unit.
The identity of the decease is being held pending notification of Next of Kin.
