(Otonabee-South Monaghan Township, ON) – Members of the Peterborough County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and emergency crews were called to the Bensfort Road Landfill site this afternoon, just before 2:00pm, for an industrial accident.
A 56 year old male is confirmed deceased as a result of the mishap and the OPP are in the process of notifying family members. Members of the Peterborough County OPP, OPP Forensic Identification Services and the Ministry of Labour are assisting the Coroner in this investigation.
