(PEMBROKE, ON) – On Monday March 28, 2016 at 1:50pm officers from the Upper Ottawa Valley Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a head-on motor vehicle collision on Highway 17 involving a westbound Chevrolet pickup and an eastbound Hyundai SUV. The collision took place just west of Greenwood Road on Highway 17 in Whitewater Region Township. 51 year old Troy TOFFLEMIRE of Ottawa, a passenger in the Hyundai, was deceased at the scene. OPP’s Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with the investigation and the investigation is continuing. Highway 17 was closed due to the collision and re-opened to traffic just after midnight.
