(LANARK HIGHLANDS, ON) – Officers from the Crime Unit of The Lanark County Detachment Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are concluding the investigation of a fatal house fire in the Township of Lanark Highlands.
Foul play is not suspected in the death of the resident of the home, Joyce GIBSON (67 years old).
On January 22, 2015 at approximately 8:30 am the Lanark County Ontario OPP was called to the fire on Gibson Road located off of the Wolf Grove Road between Hopetown and Almonte.
The Lanark Highlands Fire Department responded to the residence, which was mostly destroyed by the fire.
The Investigation is in conjunction with Office of the Fire Marshall of Ontario and the Ontario Coroner’s Office .
