(ERIN TWP.,ON) – On June 17, 2015 at approximately 1:35 p.m. Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers received a report of a 3 vehicle collision on Wellington County Road 124, west of 10th Line in the Town of Erin. Officers responded along with the Town of Erin Fire and Emergency Services, Peel Regional Paramedic Services and Wellington County Roads Department.
The driver of a SUV was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of a Ford pick-up truck was transported to a local hospital by Peel Regional Paramedic Services with non-life threatening injuries. The driver of the third vehicle was not injured.
Members from the OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation Team are attending the scene. The cause of the crash is still under investigation. The road is expected to remain closed for approximately 6 hours.
