(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) – On December 9, 2016, at approximately 4:30 p.m., the Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a collision involving two motor vehicles.
A Toyota car was travelling northbound on Vanneck Road, south of Nairn Road. It was crossing over the railway overpass when it travelled sideways and collided with a Dodge van travelling southbound.
The male driver of the car died in the crash. His name is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
The female driver of the van was transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, the roadway remains closed between Nairn Road and Glendon Drive.
