Fatal Collision On Hwy 417

(Ottawa, ON) –The Ottawa Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police is investigating a motor vehicle collision on Highway 417.

At approximately 8:13 am, a single vehicle collision occurred on Highway 417 eastbound at the 416 interchange. A motor vehicle travelling on Highway 416 northbound left the roadway from the overpass and fell onto Highway 417 eastbound.

The lone occupant, a 46 year old male from Ottawa was killed as a result of the collision.

All lanes have been re-opened.

The collision in under investigation and the OPP is asking anyone who may have any information about this incident to contact the OPP at 613-270-9171.
