(MACHAR TWP ON) – On Friday December 1, 2017 at approximately 7:00 a.m. the Almaguin Highlands Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the South River Machar Fire Department and the Parry Sound Emergency Medical Service (EMS) investigated a single motor vehicle collision on Highway 11 near the South River exit.
The driver of the vehicle was south bound on Highway 11 when the vehicle left the roadway and struck a rock cut in the median. The driver, Glen ROBERTS, 54 of Laurier Township was pronounced dead and the scene.
Police are continuing to investigate and a post mortem is scheduled.
