Fatal Collision On Highway 144

(SUDBURY, ON) – Members of the Sudbury Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a two vehicle fatal collision on January 25, 2015 shortly after 1:35 pm.

The collision occurred on Highway 144, in Baynes Township. A southbound passenger vehicle on highway 144 crossed into the northbound lane colliding with a northbound pickup truck.

The driver of the passenger vehicle was pronounced dead on scene. The 20 month old female passenger was transported to hospital with non- life threatening injuries.

The driver and passenger of the northbound pick-up truck were also sent to Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are assisting with the on-going investigation to determine the cause of the collision. No names will be released until family members have been notified.
