Fatal Collision On Grey County Road 4 – One Airlifted To Hospital

(GREY HIGHLANDS, ON) – On June 10, 2016 at 12:48 p.m., the Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a 2 vehicle head on crash along Grey County Road 4 in the Municipality of Grey Highlands. Officers arrived with Grey County Paramedics and members of the Grey Highlands Fire Department to find that a Red Ford Escape and a Blue Dodge pick-up truck were involved in the collision.

The driver of the Dodge pick-up was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver’s identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification. A passenger in the pick-up has been air lifted to a Toronto hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The driver of the Ford Escape has also been air lifted to a Toronto hospital for treatment of serious injuries.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigation unit is assisting the Grey County OPP with this incident.

Grey County Road 4 has been closed from Grey Road 63 to Grey Road 124 for the protection of emergency responders. Motorists are asked to respect the closure and avoid the incident area.

The investigation is in its early stages.
