(THAMES CENTRE, ON) – The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) are currently on the scene of a fatal motor vehicle crash.
On February 17, 2017, at approximately 7:26 a.m., the Middlesex County OPP, Thames Centre Fire, and Middlesex London Emergency Medical Services (EMS), responded to a single motor vehicle crash.
A black Chevrolet car travelling northbound on Elgin Road left the roadway and struck a tree on the east side of Elgin Road, south of Cromarty Drive.
The male driver has been transported to hospital with unknown injuries. The male passenger died in the crash.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are attending the scene to assist with the investigation. As a result, Elgin Road is closed from Cromarty Drive to Mossley Drive. Motorists will have to find an alternative route.
