(MIDDLESEX CENTRE, ON) -The Middlesex County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) investigated a fatal collision which occurred on December 16, 2014 at approximately 4:19 p.m.
A white BMW car had been travelling westbound on 13 Mile Road. It collided in the intersection with a white Ford pickup truck, which had been travelling southbound on Adelaide Road. 13 Mile Road is governed by stop signs.
The lone occupant of the BMW, 58 year old Brenda ELLIS, from Oakville, Ontario, is deceased and was pronounced at the scene.
The lone occupant of the pickup, a 19 year old male from London, Ontario, was transported by ambulance to hospital with non-life threatening injuries. He has since been discharged.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) attended the scene to assist with the investigation.
Adelaide Road was closed between 14 Mile Road and 12 Mile Road; and 13 Mile Road was closed between Richmond Street and Highbury Avenue, for approximately 6 hours.
