Fatal Collision Closes Hwy 6

(West Grey, ON) – On January 9th, 2019 at approximately 5:26 p.m. Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic collision involving two motor vehicles on Highway 6, north of Rocky Saugeen Road in the Municipality of West Grey.

Grey County OPP along with Grey County Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and West Grey Fire Department attended the scene. One of the drivers was pronounced dead at the scene and a passenger was transported to a local hospital and pronounced dead. The second driver was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The cause of the collision is currently being investigated by OPP Technical Collision Investigators (TCI) and Highway 6 between 15th Sideroad and 12th Sideroad will remain closed until further notice.

The deceased will not be identified until next of kin have been notified.
