(Napanee,ON)- On July 17, 2015 at 1:35 p.m. officers with the Napanee Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police responded to a single motor vehicle collision near the intersection of County Road 2 and Palace Road in the Town of Greater Napanee.
The involved vehicle, a gold 2014 Chevrolet Malibu four door, had been travelling eastbound on County Road 2 when it entered the ditch and struck a rock cut. The driver, an elderly male, was transported to hospital and is in serious condition. The passenger, an elderly female, succumbed to her injuries.
OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators are currently at scene trying to determine the cause of the collision.
Names are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin.
