(GUELPH-ERAMOSA TOWNSHIP, ON)— The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded on December 21, 2015 at approximately 11:25 a.m. to a report of a serious motor vehicle collision involving three vehicles on Wellington Road 124 at Beech Street in Guelph-Eramosa Township.
OPP officers along with Guelph-Wellington Emergency Medical Services (EMS) and Guelph Fire Department attended the scene involving a tractor trailer and two sport utility vehicles (SUV).
The driver of one of the SUV’s was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The passenger from the same SUV was taken to hospital by land ambulance.
The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) remains on scene.
Wellington Road 124 remains closed between Fife Road and Whitelaw Road while crews are on scene.
The investigation is ongoing at this time and no names will be released pending notification of next of kin.
