The driver of the 2008 Avenger, 44 year old Sherry Campbell of Brockville Ontario has succumbed to her injuries. Investigation is ongoing.
(Augusta Township, Ont.) At approximately 3:20 pm on December 22nd, Grenville County Ontario Provincial Police was dispatched to a motor vehicle collision on County Road 15 between Montana Way and the Sixth Concession in Augusta Township.
A tractor trailer traveling southbound on County Road 15 entered a curve causing the trailer to enter the northbound lanes striking a 2008 Dodge Avenger traveling northbound on County Road 15.
The driver of the Avenger, a 44 year old female from Brockville was taken to hospital by ambulance with serious life threatening injuries. The driver of the transport trailer a 71 year old male from Mapleton Township, Ontario was not injured.
Members from the Grenville County OPP, Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI), Augusta Fire Department and Leeds and Grenville EMS attended the scene.
