(CALEDON, ON) – Shortly before 6 am on this date, officers from the Caledon Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), EMS and Caledon Fire were called to investigate a fatal motor vehicle collision involving a cyclist and a car on Innis Lake Road between Castlederg Side Road and King Street.
The cyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene of the motor vehicle collision. The cyclist’s identity is not being released pending notification of next of kin.
Innis Lake Road between Castlederg Side Road and King Street remains closed while OPP Technical Traffic Investigators conduct their investigation.
The investigation is still on-going and more information will be released as it becomes available.
