Fatal ATV Collision – Name Of Deceased Released

(ENGLEHART, ON) – Members of the Temiskaming Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a fatal collision involving a single All-Terrain Vehicle (ATV) on June 9, 2016 at approximately 9:39 p.m.

The collision occurred near Railway Street, Englehart where the operator lost control of the ATV for reasons unknown at this time. Garry LAFLAIR, 64, of Englehart was transported to the hospital by the Englehart Ambulance Service where he was pronounced dead.

The OPP Technical Traffic Collision Investigators (TTCI) are assisting with this ongoing investigation.

The investigation reveals that the operator of the ATV was not wearing a helmet at the time of the collision.
