(TOWN OF NEW TECUMSETH) – On Saturday, October 17, 2015, at approximately 3:25 pm, members of Nottawasaga Detachment, Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to the scene of a fatal crash involving a single aircraft.
The crash occurred at the 8th Line of New Tecumseth, east of Tottenham Road in Beeton. The 8th Line was closed between Tottenham Road and Dayfoot Street for several hours for emergency units. The OPP was assisted by members of the New Tecumseth Fire and Rescue and members of the Simcoe County Paramedic Services.
The OPP are assisting the Transport Safety Board with the crash that took place. The cause of the crash is unknown and until the identity of the deceased person is confirmed, OPP cannot release the name at this time.
