FARMER – Drunk Driving

(TAY TOWNSHIP) – Officers from the Southern Georgian Bay Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a traffic complaint from a concerned driver in Tay Township on March 22, 2016 at 9:45 p.m. The caller’s attention was drawn to motor vehicle that was swerving on Highway 12 in Tay Township.

Police located the vehicle a short time later on William Street in the Town of Midland, ON. As a result of the investigation, police arrested the female driver for Impaired Operation of a motor vehicle.

The driver identified as Angela FARMER (age 37) of Orillia has been charged with:

Driving While Ability Impaired – motor vehicle contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada

Driving with More than 80 mgs. of Alcohol in Blood

Possession of a Schedule II substance – cannabis marihuana – under 30 grams contrary to the Controlled Drugs and Substance Act

Drive motor vehicle no licence contrary to the Highway Traffic Act

Possession of unmarked cigarettes contrary to the Tobacco Tax Act
