Farm House Ransacked Near Exeter – Four Firearms Stolen

(SOUTH HURON, ON) – Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers with the investigative assistance of the OPP Forensic Identification Services (FIS) and the Huron County Property Crimes unit are investigating a break, enter and theft that took place earlier this week in South Huron.

Investigators have determined that sometime between 4:30 p.m. on March 21st and 1:30 p.m. on March 22nd those responsible forced entry into an unoccupied farm house located on Hern Line southeast of Exeter.

Once inside, the premise was ransacked and four firearms were stolen.

The following descriptors were provided to police:

A .222 calibre, bolt action rifle with a magazine and an attached scope & shoulder strap. The stock is made out of wood.

A .22 calibre, single shot bolt action rifle

A .22 calibre bolt action semi-automatic rifle

A single shot 12 gauge shotgun

A total value for the stolen firearms has not been established at this time.
