(South Stormont) – On October 25, 2015 at approximately 11:48am, Stormont, Dundas & Glengarry (SD&G) Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officers, with assistance from OPP Tactics & Rescue Unit (TRU) and Emergency Response Team (ERT) members responded to a report of a family dispute at a residence in South Stormont Township. Investigation indicated that a dispute between an adult male and family members resulted in threats uttered and a firearm being discharged. No injuries resulted.
A 38-year-old man from South Stormont Township was arrested without incident and is charged with;
– Attempt Murder (2 counts)
– Utter Threats to Cause Death
– Breach of Firearms Regulation (3 counts)
– Careless Use of a Firearm
– Possession of Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victims.

DOMESTIC INVESTIGATIONS
(North Glengarry) – On October 26, 2015 SD&G OPP began an investigation into a report of a domestic related incident at a residence on Main Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that male youth had repetitively harassed his ex-girlfriend over the previous months.
A 17-year-old male from South Glengarry was arrested and is charged with;
– Criminal Harassment
– Mischief – Domestic (vehicle)
He was released and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall on December 1, 2015. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim and per the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
(North Glengarry) – On October 26, 2015 at approximately 8:46am, SD&G OPP officers responded to a report of a domestic situation at a property on Dominion Street in the Town of Alexandria, North Glengarry Township. Investigation indicated that an altercation between a male and his girlfriend resulted in the female being assaulted. Damage was also caused to parked vehicles.
An 18-year-old male from North Glengarry Township was arrested and is charged with;
– Assault – Spousal
– Mischief Under $5000 (4 counts)
He was held in custody pending an appearance (bail) at the Ontario Court of Justice in Cornwall. His name is being withheld in order to protect the identity of the victim.
THEFT OF BATTERIES
(North Dundas) – Over the past weekend (23-25Oct15) culprit(s) attended the North Dundas Township property on County Road 43 and removed six (6) batteries from vehicles.
An investigation continues.
