(CITY OF GUELPH, ON) – On November 23, 2013 at approximately 1:53 a.m. officers from the Wellington County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Festive R.I.D.E. team were conducting spot checks on Highway 6 near College Avenue in the City of Guelph. Police investigated the driver of a 2014 Chevrolet that entered into the checkpoint. Police spoke to the driver and when asked to identify himself he provided a name that was not his own. Officers determined his true identity and discovered that he was wanted on a warrant in another policing jurisdiction.
Jace O’Shane Palmer aged 25 of Toronto has been charged with Personation, Obstruct and Breach of Recognizance x2 contrary to the Criminal Code of Canada. He is scheduled to appear in Guelph Criminal Court on January 10, 2014 to answer to the charges.
