Extremely High Taxes Make North Huron A Less Desirable Place To Live – Census Data Shows Decreasing Population

In 2006 North Huron’s population was 5,015

In 2011 North Huron’s population was 4,884

Council still believes that high taxes have no effect on our
Community.  This is either denial, simple-mindedness, or a
combination of the two.  Our laughable Economic Development
Department” did have a meeting with area investors and real estate
agents a year or two ago to find out why no one wants to move or
invest here.  It seems the number one issue is the high tax
rate
