(OXFORD COUNTY, ON.) – On December 15, 2016 at approximately 7:50 p.m. Oxford County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) while on general patrol observed a vehicle with a validation tag associated to a licence plate as stolen.
Police completed a traffic stop on Broadway Street near Ridout Street in Tillsonburg.
As a result of investigation, the 34-year-old male driver, Mark NEDEAU of Springfield was charged with the following:
Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000 ~ Criminal Code of Canada (CCC) 2 counts
Public Mischief (CCC)
Fail to Comply with Recognizance of Bail (CCC)
Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given By Officer in Charge (CCC)
Drive Motor Vehicle – no Licence ~ Highway Traffic Act (HTA)
Permit Use of Plate Not Authorized for Vehicle (HTA)
Drive Motor Vehicle, Fail to Display Two Plates (HTA)
Operate a Motor Vehicle Without Insurance ~ Compulsory Automobile Insurance Act
The 41-year-old female passenger, Mandy KLAGES of Tillsonburg was charged under the Criminal Code of Canada with the following:
Property Obtained by Crime – Under $5,000 ~ 2 counts
Public Mischief
Fail to Comply with Conditions of Undertaking Given by Officer in Charge
Possession of a Schedule III Substance – Methylphenidate(Ritalin)
Both parties were held for a bail hearing.
