(KENORA, ON) On August 26, 2013 at approximately 7:30pm, members of the Treaty Three Police Service (T3PS) were dispatched to a residence in Grassy Narrows First Nation Territory regarding a report of an assault. When officers arrived they located two injured males who were transported to hospital in Kenora as a result of requiring medical attention. One male was treated and released and the other male has been transferred to Thunder Bay for further medical care.
As a result of this ongoing investigation, police have arrested and charged Everette BROWN, a 32-year-old male of no fixed address with two counts of Aggravated Assault. He appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice in Kenora today and was remanded into custody until August 30, 2013.
T3PS continues to investigate the incident with the assistance of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Northwest Region Crime Unit under the direction of Detective Inspector Dan Davidson of the Criminal Investigation Branch.
