(NORFOLK COUNTY, ON) – The Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Norfolk County Detachment along with K-9 services investigated an incident after being called to an Ireland Road, Simcoe, Norfolk County, Ontario address.
On Wednesday, June 17 at approximately 12:30 p.m., police received a call from employees at the Sprucedale Youth Centre regarding an inmate that escaped from the property.
Through the course of the investigation it was determined that a 16-year-old male escaped from the grounds and was last seeing fleeing on foot eastbound across the property towards Ireland Road.
The male is described as white, 16 years of age, 5’9, 167lbs, slender build with short wavy light brown hair and hazel eyes. He was wearing burgundy coloured pants and a burgundy coloured shirt.
On Thursday, June 18, 2015 at approximately 2:43 p.m., officers from the Haldimand County OPP Detachment located the male at a Lakeshore Road address in Fisherville, Haldimand County, Ontario and took him into custody without incident.
The male is being held in custody and is facing further criminal charges which is yet to be determined.
