(TOWNSHIP OF CHATSWORTH, ON) – On Wednesday, October 1, 2014, at approximately 9:30 p.m., Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of an erratic driver travelling north bound on Hwy. 10 in the Township of Chatsworth. The vehicle was observed crossing the centre line and driving at fluctuating speeds.
Police stopped the suspect vehicle, a 2012 Honda, in Chatsworth, at which time it was determined that the driver had been drinking alcohol. He was arrested for impaired driving and brought to the Chatsworth Detachment for breath tests where he blew under the legal limit.
Gopalu PARAMALINGAM, age 51, of Allenford, Ontario was issued a Provincial Offence Notice for Careless Driving under the Highway Traffic Act and Driving a Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor under the Liquor Licence Act.
